Behind the Lens: Celebrating Our Very First Client

There is a profound difference between dreaming about starting a creative business and the moment you actually pick up the camera for your first official client. All the late nights planning, building the portfolio, and setting up Senbon Studio finally culminated in one beautiful, nerve-wracking, and incredibly rewarding milestone. Today, I am beyond thrilled to share the story of our very first official session.

When Travis and April reached out to book a session, it felt like a true validation of the vision behind this studio. We set out to capture authentic, timeless moments, and having the opportunity to bring that vision to life for the very first time with such a special milestone was nothing short of magic.

For our first session, we had the honor of shooting a beautiful maternity gallery to celebrate the upcoming addition to their family. The afternoon took place at a gorgeous local park, providing a lush, green backdrop complete with a tranquil pond and a charming wooden gazebo. As a photographer, the goal is always to make the subjects feel comfortable and seen, allowing their genuine personality and connection to shine through the lens. Travis and April brought such a wonderful, relaxed energy to the shoot, making my job incredibly easy and reminding me exactly why I fell in love with portrait photography.

April looked absolutely radiant in a flowing pink dress, and you could feel the genuine excitement and love between the two of them as we strolled around the water's edge. We spent our time working with the natural light, capturing candid laughs under the gazebo, and freezing those quiet, intimate moments of anticipation before their little one arrives.

Looking back at the gallery as I edited their final images, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. To trust a new business with your family's memories is a beautiful gift, and I am so honored that Travis and April chose Senbon Studio to capture this incredible season of their lives. The images we created together are not just photographs; they are the cornerstone for everything that comes next for this business.
